Pro Tip: Jewelry Bag!
Here’s a great tip I learned from an attendee at my seminar at Chicago Corinthian Yacht Club. I’m a big fan of a “nitty gritty” first aid kit for the supplies used the most: regular, knuckle and fingertip bandages; a little gauze and a roll of Coban™; diphenhydramine (Benadryl) oral tablets and topical cream; antibiotic ointment; seasickness medications like meclizine and Motion Eaze; acetaminophen (Tylenol); and Ibuprofen (Advil). Having these everyday items super accessible prevents anyone from having to rummage through the supplies we would need in a serious emergency when they’re just looking for a band aid. A hanging jewelry bag is just the ticket for organizing the nitty gritty kit so everyone can see what’s in it. Hang it up on the overhead pole in the head for easy access. Place like items in zippered bags within each pouch to keep them organized and dry.
No jewelry bags or rolls on hand? A hanging toiletry kit does the trick too!
How do you like to organize your “nitty gritty” kit? Please leave a comment and let me know!
